Skin Deep, set primarily in Manchester, is about heroism, identity theft and post modern truth, asking if the latter doesn’t really exist anymore, who do we trust to watch out for us? In a world where myths and lies are easier to swallow than the truth, we follow two suicidal protagonists, a failing actor and a traumatised Ukrainian refugee. They agree to postpone death to honey-trap married men only to find themselves mired in a moral cesspit of institutionalised establishment corruption. Can they walk away with their humanity intact?
