News: Influx Press looking for non-fiction proposals

Influx Press is looking for non-fiction proposals. The publisher is open for unsolicited submissions from women and non-binary authors for two weeks until 19 January 2020. They are looking for off beat non-fiction that explores contemporary life and culture in the UK or beyond. The brief is to be creative with the idea of non-fiction.  Genre bending, disruptive and innovative work is encouraged.

Writers who enjoyed Influx books such as Jeffrey Boakye’s Hold Tight or Darran Anderson’s Imaginary Cities, should consider submitting. Outside of Influx’s list, the publishers like Rebecca Solnit, Jia Tolentino, Akala, Gordon Burn, Svetlana Alexievich, Edouard Louis and Maria Ndiaye.

Please send a full proposal, two sample chapters / 10,000 words, and examples of previous work published to Sanya Semakula – submissions@influxpress.com
