A fine example of post modern irony. Stewart Lee rants about Clarkson and Gervais’s contrived, cynical exploitation of comedy in his Observer column. A staunch critic of social media in his act stops me viewing his content. Obviously, it is not Stewart. He is too busy. Whoever manages his social media platforms doesn’t know or care that I’ve seen Stewart 8 times in concert, bought most of his DVDs and his books and will continue to do so – because he is funny, even if his social media team don’t understand the irony. He is constantly touring and constantly worth catching. Up there with the late, great Bill Hicks …now he would have taken to social media big time.
